Abstract:
To enable folding processing to be performed by switchback-conveying a sheet without buckling of the sheet that is applied with the folding processing.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device for performing folding processing at two different points on a sheet comprises: a folding roller pair which performs folding processing by bringing over a sheet with the rotation while holding the sheet conveyed in a conveyance path with a nip part; a pressing guide member which can rotate between a standby position and a guide position where the sheet applied with the folding processing by the folding roller pair is guided such that the orientation is changed toward one direction side of the conveyance path; and an auxiliary guide member having a guide part which guides the end of the sheet whose travel direction is changed by the pressing guide member to the guide surface of the conveyance path. A portion of the guide part is on the outer side of the rotational locus of a portion farthest from the rotation center of the pressing guide member when a direction changing member is at the guide position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
