Abstract:
To provide a technique for suppressing contact between a punching part for punching a sheet and the sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device includes: conveyance means for conveying a sheet along a conveyance path; punching means for punching the sheet conveyed by the conveyance means; moving means for moving the punching means in a direction crossing the sheet conveyance direction; detection means which is provided on the upstream side of the conveyance path rather than the punching means, and detects a first conveyance position in a width direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the sheet conveyed by the conveyance means; and control means for acquiring size information on the sheet size, determining a second conveyance position in the width direction when the sheet is conveyed by the conveyance means on the basis of the size information, comparing the first conveyance position with the second conveyance position, and thereby controlling whether or not to execute avoidance processing of moving the punching means so as to be separated from the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
