A finisher 500 includes a bookbinding processing tray 560 for supporting a plurality of carried sheets as a sheet bundle, and a pair of folding rollers 556 folding the sheet bundled supported by the bookbinding processing tray 560; and folds the sheet bundle to form a booklet. The finisher 500 also includes a nozzle 530 for applying paste, and a finisher control portion for adjusting the applying amount of the paste by the nozzle 530. The finisher control portion increases the applying amount toward a sheet P close to a cover of the folded sheet bundle, so that the folding processing position of the sheet bundle can be effectively reinforced, and the strength of the booklet after bookbinding can be improved.
