Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device that reinforces a fold of a sheet to be conveyed while being folded, which is high in productivity and decreased in size and cost.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device comprises a pressing portion that presses a fold of a sheet while being folded by rotating taking a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the sheet and also a direction parallel to the surface of the sheet as an axis. The pressing portion comprises a plurality of pressing groups that are arranged at predetermined intervals in a rotating direction with the axis as a rotation axis so as to press multiple times the same region in a direction parallel to the axis while rotating one time taking the axis as the rotation axis. Each of the plurality of pressing groups comprises pressing members that are arranged in a plural number in a direction parallel to the axis at a predetermined angle difference in the rotating direction with the axis as the rotating axis. The pressing members arranged in a plural number each press the fold in a direction parallel to the axis by one time pressing at different timing.
