Abstract:
To accurately guide a sheet to a nip portion when performing folding processing.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device performing folding processing on a sheet, is equipped with a rotator pair 22 that sandwiches the sheet with a nip portion and is rotated to pull in the sheet for performing folding processing therein, a projecting member 23 that projects out the sheet to the nip portion of the rotator pair, and a projecting guide member 40 that has a guide portion pushing out the sheet to the nip portion when the projecting member projects the sheet to the nip portion. The projecting member and the projecting guide member are relatively moved so that a distance from a projecting tip end portion to the guide portion when the projecting member projects out the sheet to the nip portion is longer than a distance from the tip end portion to the guide portion when starting the projecting of the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
