Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the loading property of sheets by performing the alignment of sheets on a processing tray of a sheet processing device without being affected by a knurled belt.
SOLUTION: Sheets P on a processing tray 130 discharged by a discharge roller are pulled into a rear end stopper by a knurled belt 190 and are aligned due to the travel of aligning members 141, 142 in the direction crossing the direction of sheet conveyance. When sheets are aligned by the aligning members, the knurled belt is moved from a protrusion position where it comes into contact with sheet to an evacuation position where it is apart from sheet. Consequently, the alignment of sheets by the aligning members can be smoothly done without being affected by the knurled belt.
