Abstract:
To make it possible to determine the positional deviation between a fold of a sheet bundle and a binding staple.
A detection unit 850 includes staple detection sensors 851, 852, 853, 854, and 855 aligned equidistantly in a vertical direction (thickness direction) in a back of a sheet bundle (booklet) viewed from a sheet discharge port. By movement of the detection unit 850 along a back Pa of a booklet P, each of the detection sensors 851 to 855 detects a staple St and outputs a detection result. A CPU 653 determines presence/absence of a positional deviation of the staple St in a direction orthogonal to a width direction of the sheet bundle (booklet P) and a direction of the positional deviation on the basis of the detection result.
