PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality booklet by constituting the back of the booklet into a generally rectangular shape and by preventing the inward fold of the innermost sheet from protruding to the inner side of a sheet bundle S.SOLUTION: In order that the innermost sheet to come to the innermost side when a sheet bundle is folded along a folding part 830 such that the mountain side of the fold given by a fold applying part 404 may direct the outermost sheet to become on the outermost side when the sheet bundle is folded by the folding part, and either the innermost sheet or said outermost sheet is turned upside down or back to front and transferred to the loading part 810 so that the mounting side of the fold applied by the fold applying part 404 may face the innermost sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
