Abstract:
To provide a sheet processor capable of performing superposition processing even if the number of superposing/folding sheets is not fixed.SOLUTION: A sheet processor comprises: superposition processing means, such as a superposition processing unit, that has a retreat unit, such as a switchback transport passageway, to which a sheet skew-corrected by skew correcting means, such as a register roller pair, is retreated and superpose a sheet retreated to the retreat unit and a sheet brought therein together by the skew correcting means; and sheet processing means, such as a fold processing unit, that performs predetermined processing on a sheet bundle superposed a set number of sheets by the superposition processing means. The superposition processing means transports the sheet bundle superposed to the retreat unit regardless of whether or not the number of sheets of the sheet bundle superposed by the skew correcting means is a set number of sheets.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
