To provide a sheet processing machine capable of applying highly accurate processing.
In this sheet processing machine, a printing processing part is provided on the front side of a paper supply part for sending out a large number of stacked sheets forwardly one by one from the lower part. The paper supply part and the printing processing part are respectively driven by a single motor 21 and a gear transmission mechanism 24 for transmitting the rotation of the motor 21. A solenoid brake 40 is connected to a final gear 33 of the gear transmission mechanism 24 and brake force having predetermined magnitude is applied to the final gear 33 by the solenoid brake 40 to always position the backlash of the meshing parts of respective gears on the rear side of the meshing gear of the drive gear to enhance sheet processing accuracy.
