An ADU reversing unit 201 reversing and outputting paper received from a predetermined paper carrying direction includes: a device body part 21 having a U-turn guide part 24 in a direction approximately orthogonal to the paper carrying direction and reversing the paper; a carrying drive part 23 drawing the paper into the device body part 21 and sending out the paper after it has been reversed in the U-turn guide part 24; and a partition plate 22 provided between the U-turn guide part 24 and the carrying drive part 23 and partitioning inside of the device body part 21. The structure of the partition plate 22 can block transmission of heat generated in the carrying drive part 23 to the U-turn guide part 24.
