To miniaturize the body of an image processing device and reduce its cost and provide a simple and low cost sheet reversing mechanism capable of reversing sheets without curving them.
In order to satisfy the above requirement, a typical constitution of this sheet reversing device 2 and an image processing device 1 comprises a sheet holding and reversing means 31 for holding the sheet P discharged from the image processing device 1 for making a record on and reading out from the sheet P and reversing the sheet P around a rotary sheet 32 nearly parallel to the direction in which the sheet is discharged and a sheet sending back means 47 for sending back the sheet P to the image processing device 1. In this constitution, the sheet P discharged from the image processing device 1 passing through a primary carrying path is lead to the sheet holding and reversing means 31, and the sheet P is reversed by turning the sheet holding and reversing means 31 to be supplied to the image processing device 1 by the sheet sending back means 47 passing through a secondary carrying path.
