Abstract:
To provide a sheet stacking device, a sheet stacking method and a program which can suppress a decrease in production efficiency due to stopping of job execution when there is an obstruction to reciprocating movement by foreign objects or the like during reciprocating movement of a stacking tray.SOLUTION: A sheet stacking device includes: a stacking tray 7 for stacking sheets on which images are formed; a moving mechanism 11 for reciprocating the stacking tray 7 within a preset range; determination means 21 for determining whether there is an obstruction to the movement of the stacking tray 7 by the moving mechanism 11; and control means 23 for continuing the reciprocating movement of the stacking tray 7 with a limited movable range when the determination means 21 determines that there is the obstruction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
