Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a sheet thickness at an adequate accuracy by back-and- forth moving a pressing substrate having a contact projection with a stepping motor and a screw of a rotor shaft and providing a switch that opens and closes with the moving.
SOLUTION: A rotary shaft 2 of a stepping motor 1 is provided with a male screw portion, this is screwed with a female screw portion 3 pressed into a pressing substrate, and a contact projection 4 is formed on the pressing substrate. A pair of lock members 5 are slidably arranged on the outer surface of the pressing substrate with a tetragonal cross section, and this structure converts a rotation motion of the rotary shaft 2 into a linear motion. The outer periphery of the pressing substrate away from the female screw portion 3 comprises a gold plated washer 6, and a substrate 7 comprises gold plated contacts 20A, 20B facing to this to construct a switch. A gap measuring sensor with this structure is mounted to a tractor plate 10 with fixing screws 11, a clearance between the tractor plate 10 and a tractor cover 12 is kept about 0.7 mm, and a measuring sheet is inserted into the clearance.
