PURPOSE: To easily compensate the oblique motion of a sheet by driving not less than two transfer rollers provided in the direction perpendicular to the advance direction of a sheet by means of a one-way clutch and providing a stopper for making the sheet push against in a sheet transfer passage.
CONSTITUTION: Plural transfer rollers 29, 29' are provided in the direction perpendicular to the transfer direction Y of a sheet S. Likewise pressing rollers 30, 30' corresponding to them are provided to nip the sheet S between them. Further the transfer rollers 29, 29' are driven by one-way clutch to prevent a reverse rotation. Stoppers 21, 21' are provided in a sheet transfer passage for making the sheet transferred push against. For example, when the sheet S pushes against the stopper 21 the transfer roller 29 gets idled but the transfer roller 29' transfers the sheet S to make contact with the stopper 21'. If the pressure of the pressing rollers 30, 30' is strenghened the sheet S generates buckling to fold itself S into two. Hereby the oblique motion of the sheet is easily compensated and its folding is executed.
