The sheet winding and storing device for laying and winding a sheet 7 of artificial turf or the like for laying on a floor face includes six drums 1 to 6 for winding the sheet 7; a truck 10 moving while carrying the drums 1 to 6; sprockets 23 and 31 to 36 and chains 41 to 46 (transmission mechanisms) for transmitting the rotation of a motor 21 on the truck 10 to the drums 1 to 6; and a clutch pin 38 (transmission changing means) for interrupting the transmission of the motor drive force to the drums 1 to 6. The drums 1 to 6 are arranged in approximately parallel, opposite relationship so that the sheet 7 is wound in opposite winding directions.
