To provide shielding structure for the upper part of an overhang door that can facilitate shielding member fitting work while reducing parts cost and machining cost.

A hanger rail 1 is provided with protrusions 3, 3e or recesses, and recesses 41 or protrusions are formed at shielding members 4, 4e. The protrusions and recesses are engaged to fix the shielding members 4, 4e to the hanger rail 1. The upper part of a connected body of the hanger rail 1 and shielding members 4, 4e is fitted into recessed grooves 51 provided at the lower face of an upper frame H of an opening frame. The hanger rail 1 is fixed to the upper frame H by screws, and the upper end parts of the shielding members 4, 4e are fixed being held down by the upper frame H. In addition, the longitudinal end parts of the hanger rail 1 or those of the hanger rail 1 and shielding members 4, 4e are cut longer than a sash pulley to form short- sized partial hanger rails, and the partial hanger rails are removably fitted to the upper frame H of the opening frame.
