The shift control device for vehicle including an engine and a transmission, which determines a target driving force based on operation of an operation device and controls the gear ratio of the transmission based on the target driving force, includes: a taste determination means which determines a change taste of acceleration request based on the operation of the operation device; an estimation means (step S23) which estimates whether an acceleration request determined on and after the determination of the change taste of acceleration request is a preset given value or less by use of the change taste of acceleration request; a first gear ratio control means (step S24) which takes a gear ratio for stopping fuel supply in the engine as the gear ratio of the transmission when the acceleration request is below the prescribed value; and a second gear ratio control means (step S26) which supplies fuel to the engine and takes a gear ratio capable of minimizing the fuel consumption as the gear ratio of the transmission when the acceleration request is not below the prescribed value.
