To provide a shift operation device capable of certainly preventing transmission of vibration to a shift lever and sufficiently satisfying shift requirement of a driver.
The shift operation device is provided with control shafts 4a, 4b connected to any one of a plurality of shift stages of a shift mechanism; the shift lever 2 capable of selectively switching connection of the control shafts 4a, 4b and the shift stage; and connection/disconnection means 12, 15 for performing connection and disconnection of the shift lever 2 and the control shaft 4b. The device is constituted such that when the driver steps on a clutch pedal 10, the control shafts 4a and 4b are connected, in other case, the control shafts 4a and 4b are shut off and vibration is not transmitted to the shift lever 2 side.
