Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift range control device which can continue range changeover control even if an abnormality occurs in a part of a control part.SOLUTION: A shift range control device 40 switches a shift range of a vehicle by controlling the drive of a motor 10. Microcomputers 51, 52 can control the drive of the motor 10. Monitors IC56, 57 are arranged in response to the microcomputers 51, 52, and monitor abnormalities of the corresponding microcomputers 51, 52. The motor 10 is drive-controlled by either of the microcomputers 51, 52 which is normal. When the abnormality occurs in the microcomputer which is used for the drive control of the motor 10, the microcomputer for use in the drive control of the motor 10 is switched to the other of the microcomputers. By this constitution, the drive control of the motor 10 can be continued as far as at least one of the microcomputers 51, 52 is normal, and range changeover control can be continued.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
