Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a ship propulsion engine capable of navigating a ship even in a shoal, rarely causing a failure, and further able to be downsized.
CONSTITUTION: This engine is provided with a combustion unit 2 which injects liquid hydrogen 3 into a combustion chamber 22 from a liquid hydrogen injection pipe, while injecting liquid oxygen 5 into the combustion chamber 22 from a liquid oxygen injection pipe, and brings the liquid hydrogen 3 into contact with the liquid oxygen 5 in the combustion chamber 22 for ignition and combustion, and a propellent supply system 1 for supplying the liquid hydrogen 3 to the liquid hydrogen injection pipe and the liquid oxygen 5 to the liquid oxygen injection pipe.
