Abstract:
To provide a system ensuring an efficient operation of a gyroscope stabilization system by activating a propulsion system and the gyroscope stabilization system simultaneously when the ship is operated in a position holding mode.SOLUTION: The present system comprises ship propulsion devices 27 and 28, a gyroscope stabilizer system, and a control device 116 connected operably to the ship propulsion devices and the gyroscope stabilizer system. The control device is configured to suppress a control torque output of the gyroscope stabilizer system to the minimum while keeping the ship in a selected global position and/or on a bow azimuth by controlling the operation of the ship propulsion device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
