Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber which prevents looseness of a first nut and a second nut for fixing a piston and a damping force adjustment part to a piston rod, enables easy formation of the piston rod, and improves assemblability of the first nut and the second nut.SOLUTION: A shock absorber D includes: a piston rod 3 formed with a first screw groove 3a and a second screw groove 3b having different pitches at an outer periphery; a piston nut (a first nut) 5 which is threadedly engaged with the first screw groove 3a and fixes the piston 2 to the piston rod 3; and a nut member (a second nut) 61 which is threadedly engaged with the second screw groove 3b and fixes a damping force adjustment part 4 to the piston rod 3. The piston nut 5 and the nut member 61 are integrated while being inhibited from rotating relative to each other in a circumferential direction by connection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
