Abstract:

To provide a shoe expansion device for a drum brake improving durability of a fixed member having a crank mechanism as a shoe expansion device mounted on by reducing wear, providing stable brake functions for a long time, and eliminating noise.

The crank mechanism 22 is mounted on upper surfaces of attachment bolts 20, 21 attaching an anchor block 16 of a fixed member. When a free end part 24c of a brake lever 24 constructing the crank mechanism 22 is pulled in a direction in parallel with a brake shaft direction and the brake lever 24 and a strut 23 pivotally supported by the brake lever 24 are relatively rotated to expand pair of brake shoes 12, 13, at least bent parts 24g, 24g formed integrally with the brake lever 24 slide on the attachment bolt 21.
