Title:
SHOE WITH MID-SECTION REINFORCEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2949164
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide shoes fit for violent and quick movement by reinforcing the sides of the shoe upper and the portion from the sides to the sole of mid- section corresponding to the planar arch with a flexible, but non-stretchable reinforcing band.
CONSTITUTION: A shoe having no sole at the mid-section is fit for twisting or flexing up and down with the mid-section of the planar arch as the center. A shoe upper 12 extends to a mid-section 36 which is the sole portion 18 corresponding to the planar arch between the thick, solid front portion 32 and rear portion 34, and forming a seam 37 there, there exists no sole portion between the front portion 32 and the rear portion 34, the mid-section 36 becomes a flexible portion. The shoe upper 12 and the sole portion 18 are made of a very stretchable material, so the sole portion 18 is also very stretchable. A thin reinforcing band 40 formed by a flexible, but non-stretchable material extends from the central portion of the shoe upper corresponding to the instep of the foot, via the sides, to the mid-section sole portion 18 and seams there to form a structure for preventing sag of the mid-section sole portion 18.
