PURPOSE: To obtain a thin short backfire array antenna which has high precision by printing die poles, feeders, and feeding circuits on the top and reverse sides of one dielectric plate.
CONSTITUTION: The die poles 7a∼7c, parallel two-wire lines 8a∼8c, a microstrip line 9, and branch points B ane C are printed on the top and reverse surfaces of one dielectric plate 6. Small reflecting plates 4a∼4c are fixed on the die poles 7a∼7c by supporting dielectrics 10a∼10c. Received currents from the 1st short backfire antenna consisting of a large reflecting plate 1a, side plate 2a, small reflecting plate 4a, and the die pole 7a and the 2nd and the 3rd antennas of similar constitution are flowed through the parallel two-wire lines 8a∼8c and multiplexed at the branch points B and C on the microstrip line 9 to be outputted from a coaxial plug 11.
