To provide a showcase suppressing the decline in illuminance and the flickering, etc. caused by the decline in temperature by suppressing cooling of a fluorescent light.

The showcase includes a display compartment 11 composed by a heat insulating wall 2 with an opening 7 on the front surface, and a recess 6 formed in a part of the heat insulating wall. At least part of the fluorescent light 9 for illuminating inside the display compartment is formed within the recess, and fluorescent light covers 10 and 20 with translucency are disposed in the periphery of the recess to cover the fluorescent light. The fluorescent light covers are double structures including outer covers 13 and 16 and an inner cover 14. A heat insulating air layer 15 is formed between the outer covers and the inner cover.
