To provide a shrimp processed product enabling effective utilization of living aquatic resources, and also having richer nutriment, shrimp flavor, and the like, than the conventional one.
This shrimp processed product is obtained by admixing at least either one of powdery shrimp shell and an extract from shrimp heads into finely cut flesh obtained by finely cutting shrimp flesh. The shrimp shell contains active ingredients such as chitin, chitosan, calcium, and the like, and the extract from the shrimp heads contains flavor-enhancing ingredients peculiar to shrimp. Such advantageous characteristics result in producing a richly tasty shrimp product having richly delicious taste and flavor, and providing high usability with respect to nutrition and health. In producing the shrimp processed product, materials conventionally disposed are used, and thereby disposal costs are saved and also living aquatic resources are effectively utilized.
