Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shrinkable ramming material having high thermal conductivity to be used for continuously absorbing and relaxing thermal stress generated in carbon bricks at the bottom or wall of a furnace in a temperature rage from 60 to 450°C during a long term operation of a blast furnace and to provide lining structure using the ramming material.
SOLUTION: This shrinkable ramming material 3 for blast furnace consists of a mixture obtained by compounding an aggregate containing a graphite raw material or an aggregate consisting of ≤10wt.% of one or more kinds selected from refractory raw materials and the balance of a graphite raw material with 10-30wt.% of a shrinking agent consisting of two or more kinds of solvents whose boiling points are different to each other and a phenolic resin. The shrinkable ramming material 3 forms voids during the elevation of temperature from 60°C to 450°C and has thermal conductivity of ≥20W/m.°C. Further, lining structure is produced by using the shrinkable ramming material 3 for blast furnace.
