To provide a shutter center pillar retainer in which portability and operability of a drop rod are improved and durability capable of coping with aging is improved.
An inventive shutter center pillar retainer 1' has a W-drop on an inside surface of a center pillar provided in a shutter formed having at least two left and right shutter faces each formed by vertically connecting a plurality of slats. The shutter center pillar retainer 1' includes: an adjust mechanism capable of adjusting the interval between two left and right metal rods 48a, 48a of the W-drop 48; and a connecting rod 48h for arranging upper and lower W-drops and connecting the upper and lower W-drops. A crossbar 48d horizontally connected to left and right projections of the upper W-drop and a handle 58b of the lower W-drop are connected to each other via the connecting rod. Thereby, portability and operability of a drop rod can be improved by making a position of a handle part of the W-drop high.
