To accurately detect sagging of a chain by a simple structure.
A shutter device comprises an opening/closing body 10 opened and closed in a vertical direction, a take-up shaft 20 for winding and delivering the opening/closing body 10 on the upper side, a bearing bracket 30 for rotatably supporting the take-up shaft 20, an opener/closer 40 provided roughly in parallel on an opening/closing body thickness direction side to the take-up shaft 20, a follower sprocket 50 provided on an end part side of the take-up shaft 20, a drive sprocket 60 provided on an end part side of an output shaft 40a of the opener/closer 40, and a chain 70 wound around the follower sprocket 50 and the drive sprocket 60, and the opening/closing body 10 is suspended on a counter opener/closer side of the take-up shaft 20. In the shutter device, a sensor part 80 is provided below a lower side part 70a of the chain 70 between the follower sprocket 50 and the drive sprocket 60 so as to sense a sagging part when the lower side part 70a of the chain 70 sags for a prescribed amount.
