Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stop smoothly supply of a container or the like without stopping operation of a container supplying device itself which receives a container or the like from a receiving port, makes it engage with a groove of a star wheel, and transfers it by a method wherein the receiving port is opened and closed with a shutter which rotates along a peripheral edge of the star wheel.
CONSTITUTION: A supplying device 1 makes an ampul (a) transferred by a conveyor 4 engage with a groove 9 formed on a peripheral edge of a star wheel 3 through a receiving port 12, and transfers it, while holding it between the groove 9 and a curved surface 13 in accompany with the rotation of the star wheel 3. The ampul (a) is taken out from the groove 9 with a taking-out guide 14, and then supplied to a next step through a passage 15. In this instance, an arch-shaped shutter 20 is arranged inside a curved part 13 for closing the groove 9. The shutter 20 is made to rotate around a shaft 8 while being driven by a speed control motor 25. The rotation speed at a time when the shutter 20 closes the receiving port 12 is set equal to or lower than the peripheral speed of the star wheel 3.
