To provide a shuttle kiln for baking ceramics, superior in energy-saving performance, reducing furnace construction cost with a simple furnace body structure, and without causing nonuniformity of baking by ceramic packing position.
This shuttle kiln is provided for inserting a carriage 4 into its inside, by constituting a furnace wall and the furnace ceiling of ceramic fiber 2. A flue 10 is formed of the furnace wall by projecting a rear wall central part of a furnace body 1 to the outside, and an exhaust hole to the flue 10 from a furnace chamber is formed in its lower part. A burner 8 is arranged in a plurality of stages in the longitudinal inverse direction so that frame forms a swirling flow in the inverse direction in respective upper-lower horizontal planes in a longitudinal position of the right-left furnace walls. Cost can be largely reduced more than a conventional product.
