Abstract:

To provide a shuttlecock which has no fluctuation in the flying distance and direction at the hitting and has always stable flying characteristics and which is biodegraded in the course of time even if abandoned after completing the use life, and does not adversely affect the natural environment.

This is a shuttlecock that is made of a skirt part 4 constructed of feathers 3 (14 pieces-16 pieces) of a natural water bird or a land bird or the like and a base unit 2a of a nearly semispherical shape. The base unit 2a is constructed of a biodegradable foam resin in which Degranovon (R) (made by Novon Japan) 20 parts weight as a biodegradable content is mixed in low density polyethylene 80 parts weight.
