Abstract:

To provide an Si-C-O-based composite which enables manufacturing of a negative electrode for use in a lithium-ion secondary battery with higher cycle performance and its manufacturing method, as well as a negative electrode material for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery.

The Si-C-O-based composite is obtained by curing a reactive silane or siloxane having crosslinkable groups or their mixture through heat curing or catalytic reaction into a crosslinked product and sintering the crosslinked product in an inert gas stream at a temperature of 700-1,400°C into an inorganic state. The negative electrode material for the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery uses the Si-C-O-based composite.
