PURPOSE: To control a speed different from a speed control system contained in a speed controller by controlling a position and a speed of a motor by a position controller, and further controlling the speed of the motor by the speed controller.
CONSTITUTION: The controller for a motor comprises an encoder 5 connected to the motor 4 to detect its driving amount, a position controller 2 having a position control circuit 11 and a speed control circuit 12, and a speed controller 3 having a speed control circuit 13 and a motor driving circuit 14. Here, a speed control system and a parameter of the circuit 13 variously control, when set to a standard combination of the motor 4 and the controller 3, in response to a control purpose by setting a new parameter, etc., set to the second speed control circuit 12. Thus, a control system different from a control system contained in the circuit 13 is set in the circuit 12 to cope with individual request.
