PURPOSE: To provide a side guide device with a new structure which can prevent skew of a long material which travels on a table roller, and any interference with operation, especially in conveyance equipment provided with a transfer.
CONSTITUTION: In conveyance equipment where a plurality of table rollers 2 for conveying long materials 1 are located at regular intervals, this is a side guide device for guiding a long material 1 on a path line between table rollers 2, where a pair of collars for putting the path line between them from their ends are mounted onto a guide roller 4 installed between the table rollers 2, and a taper inclining toward the outside of the path line is formed at the inner surface of the collar protruding upwards from the horizontal surface of the path line.
