Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the side lobe canceller in which an auxiliary antenna for canceling side lobe is used in common to eliminate an interference wave and to conduct diversity synthesis simultaneously without new instalation of a diversity synthesis antenna.
CONSTITUTION: Sub array processors 1051-105N using auxiliary antennas 1021-102N with an Apfelbaum array processor 103 conduct space diversity reception with respect to a desired wave. An adaptive matching filter 109 selects a time inversion complex conjugate value of transmission system impulse response for a tap coefficient to maximize the SNR(signal to noise ratio). A synthesizer 110 synthesizes a desired wave from a main antenna branch obtained from the adaptive matching filter 109 and a desired wave from an auxiliary antenna branch obtained from a synthesizer 108 to synthesize the both at a maximum ratio. An adaptive equalizer 111 eliminates inter-code interference of signals from the synthesizer 110.
