This side part structure 100 of a vehicle A includes: a doorway 12 formed in the side portion 1a of a vehicle body 1; a sliding door 22 moved in a vehicle longitudinal direction to open/close the doorway 12; a rail member 31 extending from the end 12a of the doorway 12 in the longitudinal direction to the longitudinal direction and guiding the movement of the sliding door 22; a recessed portion 41 longitudinally formed in the side portion 1a of the vehicle body 1 and storing the rail member 31; and a cover unit 50 covering the rail member 31. The cover unit 50 has a hollow upper fixing portion 53 fixed onto the rail member 31. In the upper space S of the rail member 31 in the recessed portion 41, the upper fixing portion 53 enters a cabin side more than the end 31a outside in a vehicle width direction of the rail member 31.
