Abstract:
To provide a side rescue port device for an elevator cage improved so that a passenger can move from a failure-side cage to a rescue-side cage without feeling uneasiness.
This side rescue port device is adapted to cover sides of a moving passage of the passenger by doors 11 and 12 for opening rescue ports 16. Therefore, the passenger's body is never exposed to an elevator shaft 9 between cages 2 and 3, and the passenger can move without feeling uneasiness.
