Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of connection terminals by handling a 1st signal and signal component and a 2nd signal and its signal component as component signals and transferring them as series mode signals while the transfer rate is arranged so as to prevent the deterioration in the picture signal quality. CONSTITUTION:A card memory 2 is loaded or unloaded freely to/from an electronic still camera main body 1. The electronic still camera main body 1 has an image pickup section 3, a process section 4 and a storage section 5. The 1st and its signal component having a broad band frequency from an image 34 of the image pickup section 3 are sampled by a sampling and holding circuit 35 and inputted to a storage section 5 via a process circuit 4 as the series mode signal. The signal is converted into the 2nd signal and its signal component at a lower rate by a serial/parallel converter 56a and converted into a signal of the series mode by a parallel/serial converter 56b.
