Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an internal illumination type signboard apparatus excellent in light permeability, integrally molded into a desired three-dimensional shape and having a light source built therein.
CONSTITUTION: A desired hollow element is integrally molded from a thermoplastic material such as polycarbonate by a thermal rotary molding method and the display of a mark, a character or a pattern is applied to the hollow element and a luminaire 3 is arranged in the hollow element 2. The hollow element 2 is transparent or translucent so as to transmit the light emitted from the luminaire 3. The display of a pattern or the like may be applied to the inner or outer surface of the hollow element 2 by using various color paints or by bonding a sheet molded into an arbitrary shape. Therefore, the penetration of rainwater, an insect or dust into the hollow element 2 is prevented. Further, the visibility of a signboard at a time when the light source is allowed to light in the night is excellent and the original information effect of the signboard is enhanced and the damage of the signboard due to an impact is reduced.
