PURPOSE: To provide a silencer device which is to reduce the noise of a moving body such as a railroad car or automobile.
CONSTITUTION: A silencer device for railroad car or automobile is embodied in a honeycomb sound absorbing structure equipped with resonance holes 14, which put the part of car surface 4 having high pressure variation in communication with the outside of the surface plates 10 when the car 1 moves at a high speed on rails 8, and configured with a honeycomb material in the form of laminated board in which an air chamber 13 which different volume exists. When the car moves at a high speed, the pressure variation to be generated on the car surfaces is reduced, and thereby, the running noise is reduced over a wide frequency range, and also the noise can effectively reduced by absorbing the sound both on the car side and the ground facility side.
