Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer for a slide rail capable of appropriately selecting the maximum extended length of the slide rail by means of a simple structure, being excellent in stability, strength and effect of silencing, and making it possible to easily determine whether or not the effect of silencing is required.
SOLUTION: The slide rail comprises an outer rail and an inner rail being freely slidable on the outer rail via a ball retainer. A retainer stopper for regulating the sliding range of the inner rail is formed on the base of the ball retainer in such a manner as to project toward a ball guide groove in the inner rail. An inner rail stopper is formed on the base of the inner rail and in a position where it can abut the retainer stopper. A silencing member made of an elastic material and located between the retainer stopper and the inner rail stopper when the inner rail is most extended is freely removably disposed on the inner rail.
