Abstract:
To reduce sliding resistance between a tensioner arm and a chain guide in traveling, by equalizing a pitch balance after prestress operation, in a silent chain.
This silent chain 1 is constituted by installing a guide plate 4 on a connecting pin 2, by connecting a large number of link plates 2 having a pair of tooth parts 22 and pin holes 21 by a connecting pin 3 by being laminated in the thickness direction and the longitudinal direction. In this case, the guide plate 4 is arranged in a central position in the width direction and both end positions in the width direction of a guide row G, and the height H of a back part of the respective guide plates 4 is formed higher than the height (h) of a back part of the link plates 2.
