Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a dental impression material having large elastic deformation and little permanent set, and free from running down and tearing off during taking impression and breeding of oil from the cured surface after hardening.
CONSTITUTION: This silicone composition for dental impression is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane having at least two aliphatic unsaturated groups in a molecule, (B) 0.1-30 pts.wt. of an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having at least three H atoms directly bound to silicon atom in a molecule, (C) a silicone-soluble platinum compound in a ratio of 10-500ppm based on the total of the component (A) and (B), (D) 5-500 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler and (E) 1-200 pts.wt. of a polyvinyl ether having a degree of polymerization of 1000-50000.
