Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a silicon-containing coating agent capable of giving a uniform film using plural components having different reactivity, and to provide a silicon-containing coating agent manufactured by the manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a silicon-containing coating agent including at least two kinds of hydrolyzable silicon compounds having different reactivity with water comprises a step of substituting a substituent group of a different kind from or the same kind with a reactive group in one hydrolyzable silicon compound for a reactive group in the other hydrolyzable silicon compound thereby to make the reactivity of the at least two kinds of hydrolyzable silicon compounds identical or closely similar to each other. The silicon-containing coating agent is manufactured by the above method.
