Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve performance of a stabilizing device for a vehicle by always press contacting vehicle body to a chassis through an angular locking unit when an intermediate plane of the body is separated in a direction for dropping from the plane of the chassis.
CONSTITUTION: Equalizers 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b rotatably provided at a pin 4 to a steering column 1 perpendicular when a vehicle is stopped are formed of a parallelepiped rectangular mechanism formed together with vertical bars 8a, 8b. Meanwhile, axles Oa, Ob of wheels 3a, 3b are fixed to plates 9a, 9b coupled to the bars 8a, 8b, and the mechanism is controlled by damping springs 12a, 12b. Further, a cross piece 15 having a locking carriage slidably moving to the bars 8a, 8b by free rollers is carried to a steering column through a double bracket 17 by rods 16a, 16b to prevent the vehicle from being overturned. Accordingly, traveling and parking properties can be improved simultaneously with stability when stopped.
