Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a silicone sealant, specifically, a sealant containing a certain crosslinked methylhydrosiloxane.
CONSTITUTION: An allyl amide or ally ester is brought into contact with at least one kind of methylhydrosiloxane in the presence of a Group VIII metal catalyst to form a mixture and, in the presence of ambient moisture, a mixture of the allylamide, the methylhydrosiloxane, a filler and the Group VIII metal catalyst is heated until methylhydrosiloxane is cured and crosslinked to prepare a silicone sealant.
