Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicone emulsion composition having high safety against the change with time and temperature and the shearing by including a silicone oil, a specific polyether-modified silicone and water.
SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) preferably 5-90 pts.wt. of a silicone oil, (B) 0.5-50 pts.wt. of a polyether-modified silicone of formula I { R is methyl or phenyl; R1 and R2 are each a group of formula II [(a) is 3-12; (b) is 0-50; (c) is 1-50; R3 is H, methyl or the like] or the like; (m) and (n) are each 0-1,000} and (C) water. The component A is preferably a polydimethylsiloxane. In order to dissolve the component A and facilitate the emulsification, an organic solvent (e.g. n-hexane and the like) may be blended. This composition can be added to products, e.g. hair cosmetics such as hair oil, hair dye, oil for combing and the like, skin cosmetics such as hand cream and the like, medicines for external use or the like.
